Gnome House project in order to study handpainted textures, targeting a Warcraft visual style

Misfits F.C

GK-01

Still in the ideation stages! I grew up playing street soccer with my friends in Spain and Mexico and its not something I see represented in media or games often or well, so this project is an attempt to make a difference in that space, these are some of my explorations as I go deep into figuring out what it could be.

The cast is slowly coming together, the studies below start showing the level of refinement I want, as characters grow in complexity the importance of shape language increases. Each player should have a distinct style and sense of fashion that gives you insight not just on their personality but their style of play as well.

Briana is the first character that represents the art style I’d like to use throughout. Fun shapes with lots of personality and motion with a more ink heavy lineart that adds a good deal of depth and strength to the poses and designs.
Initial design for the coach, when the artstyle was a bit more “grown up”. Definitely a self insert kind of character. A what-if version of myself if I had returned home after school and did something else with my life and career.

Reimagined Chun-Li from Street Fighter with a new design for her 52nd birthday. No reason she shouldn’t look her age! Kotaku seemed to dig it.

THE LOST ROGUE

The Lost Rogue is my medieval fantasy idea, where the protagonist is looking for the missing elements of peoples souls, in hopes to be able to remake a certain somebody’s soul from scratch …
